Tenant sourcing and vetting
Identity checks, employment or income verification, and two written references for every applicant. We reject applicants who cannot meet all three requirements, regardless of how quickly a landlord needs occupancy.
Rentals
We source, vet, and place tenants for residential and holiday-let properties in Malindi — quietly and with full documentation.
Forgenpanda maintains an active register of pre-qualified tenants: expatriate professionals on fixed-term contracts, returning Kenyan residents relocating from Nairobi or abroad, and short-stay guests vetted through our network rather than anonymous booking platforms. When you list a property with us for rental, we match it against that register first. Prospective tenants provide national ID or passport, proof of income or employment contract, and two references before they are shown any property. We prepare the tenancy agreement, conduct a written inventory on move-in day, and hold the deposit in a designated client account. Landlords receive a monthly rent statement and any maintenance communication through our office — you are not required to engage directly with tenants unless you choose to.
From tenant search to monthly statement, here is what we handle.
Identity checks, employment or income verification, and two written references for every applicant. We reject applicants who cannot meet all three requirements, regardless of how quickly a landlord needs occupancy.
A legally compliant Kenyan tenancy agreement drafted for your specific property type and lease term, plus a photographic inventory report completed on move-in day and counter-signed by the tenant.
Monthly rent collected by standing order or mobile money and reconciled by the fifth of each month. You receive an itemised statement showing rent received, any agreed deductions, and our management fee.
Tenants report maintenance issues to our office, not to you. We assess, quote from our panel of vetted Malindi tradespeople, and seek your approval before any expenditure above an agreed threshold.
“I live in Mombasa and could not be present in Malindi for viewings or repairs. Forgenpanda has managed my two apartments since early 2021. In three years I have had zero rent arrears and every maintenance issue was resolved with a WhatsApp approval from me, nothing more. That is genuinely rare in this market.”
— Fatuma Hassan, Mombasa-based landlord
Our rental management does not include full property caretaking services such as gardening, security guard employment, or pool maintenance — those contracts remain with the landlord directly. We do not list properties on mass-market short-stay platforms; if you need Airbnb-style volume letting, we are not the right fit. For long-term residential tenancies and high-quality short-stay guests through our private network, we are very well placed. We also cannot guarantee occupancy timelines; coastal rental demand is seasonal, and we will always give you an honest market picture rather than an optimistic promise.
Tell us the property type, location, and your preferred lease structure, and we will send you our management terms by the next business day.
